Kwankwaso Set to Defect to ADC on March 30 After Meeting Atiku in Abuja
The Kwankwasiyya Movement has confirmed that former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is set to formally defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday, March 30.
The development was disclosed in a notice made public on Saturday night, detailing the planned political transition.
According to information obtained by PulseNets, the defection ceremony will be held at Gidan Kwakwasiyya, Miller Road, Bompai, Kano State, with proceedings scheduled to commence at 12pm.
This move signals a significant shift in Nigeria’s political landscape as permutations ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to intensify.
Kwankwaso, who contested the 2023 presidential election under the platform of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), secured fourth position with a total of 1,496,687 votes. He trailed behind the eventual winner, President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
