Fenerbahce has confirmed that former Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has been suspended with immediate effect.
The Turkish giants sanctioned Ozil along with Turkish international, Ozan Tufan.
Mirror UK reports that Fenerbahce disclosed this in a statement released by the club on Thursday.
The statement read: “Our Football A-Team players Mesut Özil and Ozan Tufan have been excluded from the squad as per the decision taken. It is announced to the public.”
Ozil, 33, joined Fenerbahce from Arsenal 14 months ago.
