Biafra militant group rejects Tompolo’s recruitment offer

‘Prepare for a showdown’ – Ex-militants react to award of NNPC contracts to ‘northern oil cabal’

There are reports that a suspected terrorist organisation, Biafra Nations League (BnL), operating on the outskirts of Bakassi creeks, may have refused offers to join forces with Government Ekpemukpolo, popularly known as Tompolo, to’secure’ Nigeria’s enormous oil pipelines.

According to media reports, the federal government has awarded a pipeline security contract to Tompolo, a Niger Delta warlord, to secure pipelines that have been repeatedly vandalised, resulting in wanton economic sabotage.

According to sources, BnL Bakassi chapter chairman Ita Bassey has confirmed Tompolo’s advances.

The report is reported to have been brought by a member of Black Marine, which is thought to be an arm of BnL.

Bassey is cited as adding that they rejected the offers since Tompolo will not use BnL to make money.
