Canadian Police Declare Nigerian Caregiver Wanted Over Alleged Assaults at Toronto Group Home
Canadian authorities have declared a Nigerian national, Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, wanted in connection with alleged assaults on vulnerable adults residing at a Toronto group home, PulseNets has learnt.
Ejerua, 38, was listed as wanted after officers responded to a call around the Sibley and Detonia Park avenues following reports of an assault at the facility. According to information obtained by PulseNets, the suspect was working as a caregiver at the group home at the time of the alleged incidents.
In a statement issued on December 31, 2025, and reviewed by PulseNets, Toronto police appealed to members of the public for help in locating the suspect. “The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in an assault investigation,” the statement said.
Police further reported that the alleged assaults occurred repeatedly within the facility over a one-month period. Investigators said the incidents were believed to have taken place between November 1 and November 30, 2025, and that the suspect is currently wanted on seven counts of assault involving residents of the home.
However, authorities did not disclose how many residents were allegedly affected, nor did they provide details regarding the nature or extent of the injuries sustained, PulseNets reported.

Law enforcement officials have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward, stressing that tips can also be submitted anonymously. “He is described as 5’8, with a medium build, black curly hair, and black facial hair.
