Desmond Elliot Publicly Begs Gbajabiamila for Forgiveness Amid Lagos Political Rift
Veteran Nollywood actor and Lagos lawmaker, Desmond Elliot, has publicly appealed to Femi Gbajabiamila for forgiveness following a recent misunderstanding that reportedly strained relations between the two political allies.
The Surulere Constituency I representative in the Lagos State House of Assembly made the emotional appeal during a televised interview on TVC, where he expressed regret over actions or comments that may have been interpreted as disrespectful toward the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during the interview monitored by PulseNets, Elliot appeared visibly remorseful as he directly addressed Gbajabiamila with a heartfelt plea for reconciliation.
“I’m sorry, Daddy, if I offended you in any way.”
The public apology follows growing speculations surrounding an alleged crack within the Surulere political structure, an influential bloc where both political figures maintain strong ties and influence at different levels of government.
PulseNets learnt that Elliot, who has repeatedly acknowledged Gbajabiamila as a mentor and political benefactor, stressed that he never intended to disrespect or undermine the authority of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Lagos lawmaker further emphasized the need to preserve unity within their political family amid the demanding realities of governance in Lagos State and across Nigeria.
Although Elliot did not reveal the exact issue that triggered the reported tension, he maintained that he remains deeply grateful for the mentorship, support, and guidance he has received from Gbajabiamila throughout his political career.
PulseNets reports that the latest reconciliation move comes after earlier political controversies linked to allegations surrounding the leadership crisis in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Recall that Gbajabiamila had previously disclosed that President Tinubu considered removing him from his position as Chief of Staff.

The development was reportedly connected to allegations involving Elliot’s alleged role in a purported plot to impeach the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.
The controversy reportedly created uncertainty around Elliot’s political future and is believed to have contributed to his latest public effort to rebuild ties with the Chief of Staff.
