Abak Constituency Politics: Israel James Gains Momentum After Strategic Meeting With Kwankwaso

A fresh political alignment appears to be taking shape in Abak Constituency following a recent meeting between youth advocate and development strategist Israel James and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The meeting, which PulseNets learnt focused largely on grassroots politics and youth-driven development, is already generating conversations within political circles over Israel James’ growing relevance ahead of future political engagements in the constituency.

Speaking after the interaction, Israel James explained that he introduced himself and highlighted his humanitarian and leadership engagements through Project SPRINT, an initiative that has continued to attract attention for its community-based interventions and youth empowerment activities.

According to Israel James, Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of grassroots connection in politics, stressing that impactful work must be felt directly by local communities before it can gain broader political acceptance.

“He told me politics is local, that Israel should translate his work to the grass root,” Israel James told PulseNets.

PulseNets further learnt that the former presidential candidate also spoke about the role senior political figures can play in mentoring and exposing emerging leaders to strategic political spaces.

“Kwankwaso said, they (leaders) can only support by bringing us closer and having us in meetings like the one we met,” Mr Israel finally noted.

Political analysts who spoke to PulseNets noted that endorsements, strategic mentorship, and access to influential political networks often shape the trajectory of emerging leaders in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
