A woman known by Ada Vivian Nwenike was brutally beaten by her husband, Mr Emmanuel Nwenike in Port Harcourt. This inhuman act was perpetrated as a result of Mrs Ada using some money to buy drinks for her shop.
PulseNets understand these abuses have been going on for a long time now as reported by our source who is an acquaintance of the victim.
PulseNets was learnt the couple has four children in total including a suckling baby. Mrs Ada is currently seeking help as she cannot bear the abuses anymore as she finally told her acquaintance.
She wrote;
My name is Ada Vivian Nwenike. On Tuesday my husband abused and molested me just because I use 20k out of 280k to buy drinks for my shop, where myself, my husband and my children eat from. I was so ill and I also tried to explain that in 2 days time after sales I will replace it. Instead he used matchet and flogged me not minding my I’ll health and my children. He flogged me for almost 2 hours, he locked the door so there will be no help for me. I called my mum, and my mum pleaded with him over the phone but he refused my mum’s pleas, he seized my phone and atm card.
While all this happened, my mother inlaw and his senior brothers were in the compound, they never cared although they are all the same kind of individuals, their wives have left them due to same abuse issue, u can investigate to confirm.
There was no way for me to escape, so I had to tear open the window and jump out, he chased me into another compound where a woman (neighbor ) begged on my behalf, he said he will only leave me if I promise to go and get the money today. I agreed, went home, changed my clothes, carried my suckling baby and left the house leaving my other 3 children behind. Before leaving, my mother in law came out and said I must appease the land for jumping through the window, cause it is a sacrilege for a woman to jump through the window in Ikwerre tradition.
The next day, I went to my children’s school and picked them up.
Am pleading for help because after then, my mother in law has been calling my mother threatening to track me down and arrest me with the claims that I ran away from appeasing the land.
Am calling for the general public to please help save me from this people, they have small money and connections to cover their crimes tho they didn’t pay my bride price, they never did for all other wives who left too, u can investigate all this am saying. Pls I don’t want them to harm me, my family or my children. Pls I need your help!
