The deputy vice Chancellor of Arthur Jarvis University, Barr. Dr. Joseph Ekpe Edet has declared interest to run for senator representating Cross River southern senatorial district he consulted the PDP state party chairman Hon. Venatius Ikem at the party secretariat on Tuesday 19th of april, where he declared interest for Senator representing Cross River southern senatorial district.
Dr Joe Edet who hails from Akampka Local government area in Cross River State has previously served as special adviser to governor Donald Duke and served in governor liyel imoke’s administration as the deputy chief of staff, he also served as special adviser on intergovernmental affairs, Cross River State liaison officer, Special adviser on mineral resources all in governor liyel Imoke’ s administration. In governor Ben Ayade’s administration he served as special adviser on strategic policy and advisory council (SPAC).
Dr. Joe Edet who is a lecturer in the university of calabar was the head of the department of private law, University of Calabar and currently the deputy vice Chancellor of the first private University in Cross River State, Arthur Jarvis University
He stated that his interest in vying for a Senate seat to represent the Cross River Southern Senatorial District is solely for the purpose of re-engineering our slacking status as a people with great dreams and aspirations. As one who has been an active participant in governance, I have the zeal to bring to bare all my exclusive capabilities and experiences garnered over the years.
