Easter: Kogi CP leads patrol team to major highways

As part of measures to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police CP Edward Egbuka, on Saturday, led a team of officers on a confidence-boosting and visibility patrol along the major highways across the state, vowing to clamp down on any criminal element trying to disturb the peace of the festive season.

PulseNets gathered that the intensive patrol was carried out to assess the deployment of personnel and operational assets towards a peaceful and crime-free environment for all.

The Commissioner of Police, while fielding questions from journalists, explained that he embarked on the patrol to assess the level of compliance on the directives given to the Divisional Police Officers and their supervising Area Commanders to take charge of their area of responsibility.

Egbuka, however, charged them to redouble their efforts and contain any criminal element who might want to take advantage of the festive period to perpetrate evil acts.

He further reiterated the command’s commitment to work in synergy with other security commanders to provide adequate security for all in Kogi State.
