Former England striker Michael Owen feels that even if Premier League leaders Arsenal are “here to stay,” Manchester City will still win the championship this year.
Following Liverpool’s victory over City, who had been undefeated, City now trails the Gunners by four points.
Tottenham are now tied with Pep Guardiola’s team in points at 23, but they have played one more game after Wednesday night’s 2-0 loss to Manchester United.
Chelsea and Brentford played to a scoreless tie, keeping them in fourth place.
United still trail the Blues by just one point, although Liverpool gained ground by defeating West Ham 1-0 last night at Anfield.
“Well, it is tough to call the top four. Manchester City for sure. I think Chelsea are probably going to be in the top four. Arsenal as well. It’s very hard to leave one out, isn’t it?
“I’m actually torn between Liverpool and Tottenham at the moment.
“So it’s so hard to say. I’ll probably say Tottenham and Manchester United will miss out,” Owen said.
