Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has insisted his team has ‘a lot’ to improve on.
The Spaniard was reacting to former boss, Arsene Wenger’s recent praise for the team.
The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table after achieving five straight table wins before losing to Manchester United on September 4.
Arteta was the Premier League manager for the month of August, becoming the first Gunners boss to win the August iteration of the prize since Wenger in 2004.
Wenger coached Arteta as a player and helped inspire him to take up a career in management and had claimed the team had ‘no weak position’.
Wenger insisted they should not be ruled out of the title race this season.
Reacting to Wenger’s claim, Arteta told Sky Sports, “It’s great to hear that from Arsene after being with him every single day!
“But I see a lot of things that we still have to improve on and get better at. We are heading in the right direction but we can become much, much better.”
