Free Nnamdi Kanu, demilitarise South East — Ekpa reacts to Buhari’s apology

Biafra: Sentence Ekpa, release Nnamdi Kanu — Southeast stakeholders

A controversial pro-Biafra separatist agitator, Simon Ekpa has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s apology to Nigerians.

Buhari had on Friday asked Nigerians to pardon him, especially those he might have hurt while discharging his duties.

However, in a statement on Sunday, Ekpa listed six things Buhari must do to assuage the pains his administration had caused Nigerians.

In the statement titled, ‘Rebuttal of Open Apology to Nigerians You Offended While In Office’, the self-styled Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government in Exile, reminded Buhari of the untold hardship and pains inflicted on the indigenous people of the country.

He said for Buhari’s apology to be taken seriously, he should free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention.

Finland-based Ekpa added that Buhari should demilitarise the South East for lasting peace to reign in the region.

“President Mohammadu Buhari, if you are serious and sincere with your apologies and you want us to take you seriously:

“Free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from your illegal detention unconditionally; demilitarise Biafra territory for lasting peace; grant a referendum for a bloodless exit of Biafra and other trapped nationalities from Nigeria.

“Free all Biafran agitators held by your DSS and other security agencies; grant Eastern state governors license to operate International Airports and Sea ports and expel all terrorist you brought into Nigeria and rewarded with positions in the military for killing indigenous Nigerians”, he said.
