Ganduje's son is accused of stealing government property by the NNPP, who also alerts the EFCC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives from Kano State’s Dawakin Tofa, Rimingado, and Tofa federal seat has been accused by the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) of using state government-owned property for his campaign.

According to Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, the party’s state chairman, over 30 vehicles from the Kano Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) have allegedly been used for Ganduje’s campaign operations. Ganduje is the son of the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The NNPP reported that it was learned that the Abba Ganduje-emblazoned vehicles would be given to the APC ward chairmen in the Rimingado, Tofa, and Dawakin Tofa Federal Constituency.

“We, therefore, request the anti-graft agencies such as EFFC, ICPC and INEC to investigate mismanagement of State resources, conflict of interest and violations of election guidelines,” the statement added.

However, in response to the claims, KIRS stated in a statement released by Alhaji Rabiu Saleh Rimingado, Head of Corporate Communication, that the NNPP’s assertion was untrue.

The service issued a warning that it would file a lawsuit to protect their well-deserved reputation, which, in their opinion, is being harmed by the opposition party.
