Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has urged the People’s Democratic Party to expel him from the organization.
This comes after internal party discussions suggesting that he might be suspended since no one can be bigger than the party.
Following calls for the resignation of the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, the governor has continued to criticize certain party leaders.
Insisting that Ayu must leave, he recently persuaded some party officials to withdraw from the PDP’s presidential campaign council.
Speaking during a live media chat in Port Harcourt on Friday, Gov. Wike said, “I beg them today, they shouldn’t waste time. They should call a NEC meeting and say the Governor of Rivers State, you’re hereby suspended from the party.
“Anything you see you take. They know what I will do.
“Nobody has the monopoly of making problems.”
