Isaac Fayose Reacts to Seyi Tinubu Meeting Backlash, Says He Can Withdraw Support for Peter Obi

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has responded to criticism trailing a viral video of him praying with Seyi Tinubu, declaring that he is at liberty to withdraw his support for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, if he chooses.

The social commentator made the remarks in a post on his Facebook page while addressing reactions from critics over the video, PulseNets learnt.

Fayose maintained that his support for Obi during the 2023 presidential election should not be taken for granted, stressing that he reserves the right to support any candidate of his choice.

He also openly expressed admiration for President Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu.

“I can withdraw my support for Peter Obi. Do you people know how much I spent on Peter Obi’s 2023 campaign? I met Seyi Tinubu and people started complaining. Has Peter Obi ever appreciated me? If I want, I can start campaigning for President Tinubu. I’m a Yoruba man, and I love President Tinubu and his son,” Fayose said.

His latest comments come just days after he clarified that his meeting with Seyi Tinubu and other supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, should not be interpreted as a sign that he had abandoned Peter Obi, PulseNets reported.
