IYC Elections: Eastern Zone Leader Throws Weight Behind Ayebakuro Igbeta
A stakeholder from the Eastern Zone of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Comrade George Benjamin, has publicly endorsed Barrister Ayebakuro Igbeta for the position of Secretary General ahead of the forthcoming IYC elections.
PulseNets learned that Benjamin made the declaration in a video message circulated online among youth leaders and stakeholders within the Ijaw nation.
In the video obtained by PulseNets, the Eastern Zone stakeholder described Igbeta as a credible candidate with the experience and commitment required to strengthen the administrative leadership of the council.
Benjamin further expressed confidence that the Ijaw Youth Council would regain its strength and vibrancy if Barrister Ayebakuro Igbeta emerges as Secretary General in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking in the video, he urged delegates and Ijaw youths to rally behind the legal practitioner, whom he described as youth friendly and well grounded in council activities.
In his words:
“Vote a vibrant lawyer. Vote a youth friendly leader. Vote someone who understands the council and is ever ready to take the council to the next level. Vote Ayebakuro Igbeta, PhD.”
