Lagos Police Summon Pastor Chris Okafor Over Multiple Rape and Sexual Offence Allegations

The Lagos State Police Command has summoned Pastor Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, over grave allegations bordering on multiple rape, sexual offences, and other actions allegedly capable of triggering a breach of public peace and a breakdown of law and order in Lagos State.

PulseNets learnt that the cleric has been directed to report at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, by 10:00am prompt on Monday, January 5, 2026, as part of an ongoing criminal probe.

According to information obtained by PulseNets, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has formally instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Police overseeing the SCID to conduct a comprehensive and meticulous investigation into the numerous allegations described as capital offences and other serious crimes.

The Lagos Police Command confirmed that Pastor Okafor was duly served an official invitation through his legal representative and is expected to fully cooperate with detectives at the Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, as investigations intensify.

In a decisive move, CP Jimoh has also ordered immediate and full security coverage for alleged victims connected to the case. PulseNets reported that the Police Commissioner strongly encouraged affected persons to step forward without fear and formally lodge their complaints at SCID, Panti, where investigations into the alleged criminal acts have already commenced.

Police authorities further assured that the identities of all victims will be strictly protected and treated with absolute confidentiality. Individuals who may have suffered abuse or misconduct linked to the Pastor are urged to come forward and report their experiences to law enforcement authorities.

Beyond victims, the Lagos State Police Command is also calling on members of the public who possess credible information, evidence, or intelligence relevant to the investigation to assist the Police. Such individuals may contact the SCID through the Police Public Relations Department at the Lagos State Police Command or report directly at the SCID, Panti.

Reiterating the Command’s stance, CP Olohundare Jimoh assured Lagos residents that the investigation would be handled “in a professional, transparent, and unbiased manner, strictly in line with the laws of the land.” He emphasized that the identities of both victims and witnesses would be safeguarded throughout the process.

The Lagos State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, public safety, and peace across the state. Authorities stressed that allegations of criminal conduct would be investigated thoroughly, “regardless of the social, religious, or public status of the individuals involved,” adding that sentiment or influence would not be allowed to obstruct justice.
