LaLiga: I’m home, things are going well with Xavi – Aubameyang

Former Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has said that he is at home now that he has completed a move to Barcelona.

Aubameyang signed an 18-month deal with Barcelona in the January transfer window after Arsenal agreed to cancel his contract following a falling out with Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta.

The Gabonese forward spent four years at Arsenal and was club captain for the last two seasons, before being stripped of the armband following a ‘disciplinary breach’.

Aubameyang, who has scored five goals in his first six games for Barcelona, said things are going very well with Barca manager, Xavi.

“Things are going very well with Xavi,” Aubameyang told Bein Sports.

“He’s a legend and will contribute many things to the club.

“Barça deserves to be in front and I am very happy there because I’m at home. I am Spanish, for my mother’s sake.

“My grandfather was from Atletico and I just hope that wherever he’s, he will be proud of me for playing in the league.”
