The former captain of Manchester City, Vincent Kompany, has chosen between Lionel Messi of Argentina and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal as the player he would most like to play alongside.
Although Messi and Argentina won the just finished 2022 FIFA World Cup, the argument between them has not abated in the slightest.
Fans of the two Ballon d’Or winners continue to debate whether player is superior to the other.
But now that he is in charge of Burnley, Kompany has offered his opinion on the argument between Messi and Ronaldo.
The former captain of Belgium asserted that playing against Messi is more challenging than playing with Ronaldo, but he did admit that he would have preferred to team up with the Portuguese.
Kompany said on Sky Sports: “The hardest one to play against would be Messi, but I would have preferred to play with Ronaldo.”
