Illegal Bunkering in Opu-Nembe: Amotoi Global Services, NSCDC, and Marine Police destroy camps

Nembe — A combined operation involving Amotoi Global Services, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Marine Police has dealt a blow to illegal refining activities in the territorial waters of Opu-Nembe, Bayelsa State. The team successfully destroyed and burned down a significant number of illegal refining camps and wooden boats used for bunkering operations.

While returning from the successful operation, the team has claimed to have encountered resistance from individuals believed to be associated with illegal bunkering activities in the area. Reports indicate that stones and bottles were thrown at the crew from the Opu-Nembe waterfront.

A post by one Ayero Junior reads:

“Amotoi Global Services staff and personnel of the NSCDC and the Marine Police destroyed and burnt down a good number of illegal refining (Bunkery) camps and wooden boats in the territorial waters of Opu-Nembe.
“On our way back resentful illegal Bunkers who are terrorists of Kojo Sam and the Federal SWAT Nigerian Police stood at the Opu-Nembe water front and stoned us with bottles and heavy stones but they were however ignored.

“The public is here by notified that whatever happens to the Surveillance Crew who are on a mission to ensure the safety of Federal Govt. assets within Nembe LGA, Kojo Sam and his gang of terrorists should be held responsible.”
