The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Southeast Zone, Mr. Ali Odefa, has been suspended from the party.
The Ward Executive Committee, led by acting ward chairman, Herbert Ovuta, announced the suspension at a press conference in Onicha Local Government Area on Friday.
They accused Odefa of engagement in “anti-party activities.”
Flanked by other committee members, acting ward chairman Ovuta stated: “We are here to inform you of the resolution of the Oguduokwor Ward Executive Committee to suspend Chief Ali Odefa, the National Vice Chairman of the party Southeast Zone, for activities that are destructive to our party’s name.”

He further stated: “His suspension is in compliance with Section 57 (3) of the PDP Constitution. Additionally, we have referred Chief Ali Odefa to the Ward Disciplinary Committee for further action.”
