The publisher of the book revealed on Thursday that the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, will publish his memoir in January of next year.
“We are excited to announce the remarkably personal and emotionally powerful story of Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex,” Penguin Random House said on Twitter.
Titled “Spare,” the long-awaited memoir will hit the shelves on January 10, 2023.
The publisher’s website for the book describes it as a glimpse into how the prince handled the loss of his mother, Diana, 25 years ago and how that has affected his life ever since.
“With its raw, unflinching honesty, Spare is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.”
When Harry and his wife Meghan Markle announced they were leaving their roles as royals and going to the United States in early 2020, they astounded the monarchy.
They then launched a string of criticisms of their time spent at the institution, including accusations of racism.
Harry revealed last year that he was writing a memoir that would detail the “mistakes” and “lessons learned” he had made during his life.
According to the publisher’s website, “Spare will be published in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India, and South Africa,”
Harry would donate to British charity using the earnings from the memoir, which will be published in 16 languages, it was revealed.
