Appeal Court Nullifies Judgment Seeking to Seize Rivers State Allocation

In a bid to enhance governance and drive development in Rivers State, Governor Sim Fubara has appointed commissioners to various portfolios. The appointments were made with the aim of ensuring effective service delivery and addressing the needs of the people.

The newly appointed commissioners and their respective portfolios are as follows:

  1. Prof. Zachaus Adango – Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice: Prof. Adango will oversee legal matters and provide legal advice to the government.
  2. Prof. Chinedu Mmom – Education: Prof. Mmom will be responsible for the development and implementation of educational policies and programs in the state.
  3. Barr. Isaac Kamalu – Finance: Barr. Kamalu will manage the financial resources of the state and ensure transparency and accountability in financial matters.
  4. Alabo Dax George Kelly – Works: Alabo Kelly will oversee the construction and maintenance of public infrastructure and ensure the smooth functioning of transportation networks.
  5. Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke – Special Projects: Engr. Woke will be in charge of special projects aimed at driving development and improving the quality of life for the people.
  6. Mrs. Inime Chinwenwo Aguma – Social Welfare & Rehabilitation: Mrs. Aguma will focus on social welfare programs and initiatives to support vulnerable groups and promote social inclusion.
  7. Dr. Kenneth Chisom Gbali – Youth Development: Dr. Gbali will develop and implement programs to empower and engage the youth in meaningful activities that contribute to their personal and professional growth.
  8. Prof. Henry Ogiri – Power: Prof. Ogiri will oversee the power sector and work towards ensuring reliable and sustainable power supply in the state.
  9. Engr. Charles Amadi – Chieftaincy & Community Affairs: Engr. Amadi will handle matters relating to traditional institutions, community development, and fostering harmonious relationships between communities.
  10. Dr. Roseline Adawari Uranta – Women Affairs: Dr. Uranta will champion the rights and welfare of women, promoting gender equality and empowering women in various aspects of life.
  11. Chris T. Green, Esq – Sports: Mr. Green will be responsible for sports development, promoting sporting activities, and nurturing sporting talent in the state.
  12. Dr. Jacobson Nbina – Transport: Dr. Nbina will oversee the transport sector, ensuring efficient and reliable transportation services for residents and visitors.
  13. Mr. Uchechukwu Nwafor – Energy & Natural Resources: Mr. Nwafor will focus on harnessing the state’s energy and natural resources, promoting sustainable practices, and driving economic growth.
  14. Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh – Health: Dr. Oreh will oversee healthcare delivery, develop health policies, and ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to the people of Rivers State.
  15. Dr. George Nweke – Head Of Service: Dr. Nweke will serve as the Head of Service, overseeing the administrative affairs of the state government and ensuring effective coordination of government activities.
