Rivers: Police arrest PDP Rep, Farah Dagogo, ‘thugs’ after Wike’s order

Dagogo’s hope of participating in Rivers PDP primaries dims as court adjourns bail hearing

The Police in Rivers State have arrested a member of the House of Representatives, Farah Dagogo.

Dagogo is a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmaker and “political thugs” were declared wanted on Wednesday by Governor Nyesom Wike.

Wike accused Dagogo of sending “cultists” to disrupt the screening of aspirants at the PDP State Secretariat in Port Harcourt.

Dagogo denied that he had a hand in the incident, accusing the Governor of lying and bullying.

He urged the police to arrest and investigate Efeturi Irikefe, “Camp Commandant to the Governor” for his actions at the PDP office.

PulseNets learnt that Dagogo is in the custody of the Rivers State Police Command in Port Harcourt.
