Shakira Teases FIFA World Cup 2026 Official Song ‘Dai Dai’ Featuring Burna Boy
Colombian music superstar, Shakira has teased the official theme song for the FIFA World Cup 2026, a collaboration that features Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy.
The global pop icon, who has previously delivered multiple FIFA World Cup anthems over the years, shared a snippet of the tournament soundtrack through her X handle on Thursday, PulseNets learnt.
According to the teaser obtained by PulseNets, the upcoming song is titled “Dai Dai” and features Burna Boy, marking another major international milestone for the Grammy-winning Nigerian star.
The post further revealed that the full soundtrack will officially be released on May 14 ahead of the commencement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, scheduled to kick off on June 11 with Mexico national football team taking on South Africa national football team at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
Highlighting the announcement, Shakira wrote:
“From Maracaná Stadium, here is “Dai Dai,” the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy,”
PulseNets reports that Burna Boy has now become the second Nigerian artist to feature on an official FIFA World Cup song after Davido, who appeared on the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup soundtrack.
The African Giant has also previously featured on a UEFA Champions League theme song alongside Becky G and later performed at the 2023 UEFA Champions League final in Turkey, PulseNets learnt.
However, it remains unclear whether Burna Boy will perform at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico City or at the tournament final scheduled for July 19 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
