The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will run Chukwuma Odii Ifeanyi for governor of Ebonyi State in the general election of 2023, according to the Supreme Court.
Sen. Joseph Obinna Ogba was awarded a judgment by the Court of Appeal, but the Apex Court overturned it because it was unconstitutional.
The Supreme Court ruled that the Court of Appeal should not have listened to Ogba because he did not acquire permission from the court before bringing his appeal in the Court of Appeal in a decision delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba and supported by the other four Justices.
Senator Ogba, according to Justice Garba, should have requested and obtained permission from the Court of Appeals because he wasn’t a party to the Federal High Court lawsuit.
