The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which released the performer from detention, has given an explanation.
Remember that D’banj was taken into custody on Wednesday for allegedly conspiring to embezzle N-power monies with some politicians and banks.
The musician claimed, via his solicitor, that he had no business or casual connections with any individuals or organisations inside or outside of the Government.
He had also pressed the ICPC to identify the politicians and government figures involved in the aforementioned deal.
D’banj, though, was released on Friday after being detained for three days.
D’banj said on his Instagram page that the ICPC had discovered nothing against him, thus he was released on self-recognition.
He also expressed gratitude to Nigerians and faith in the ICPC’s ability to uncover the truth.
