Turaki-Led PDP NWC Holds Closed-Door Meeting With Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja
The Tanimu Turaki (SAN)-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently engaged in a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan, PulseNets learned.
The meeting, which is taking place at Jonathan’s office in Maitama, Abuja, began around 5:45 pm on Tuesday. Turaki arrived at the venue alongside members of the party’s national leadership and a few selected state chairmen, conveyed in about six SUV vehicles, according to details obtained by PulseNets.
Party insiders who spoke to PulseNets disclosed that the engagement is focused on pressing internal party matters as well as broader national concerns. The discussions are understood to centre on the lingering crisis within the PDP, ongoing efforts to reposition the opposition party ahead of future political contests, and other issues of national importance.

A senior party source, who requested anonymity, told PulseNets that the visit underscores the continued relevance of the former president in the party’s internal consultations, adding that “the leadership believes Jonathan’s experience and counsel are critical at this stage.”
