U.S. Military Launches Large-Scale ISIS Strikes in Syria Under Operation Hawkeye Strike

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that U.S. forces, in coordination with partner units, have carried out extensive strikes on multiple ISIS positions across Syria.

In a statement published on its official X account on Saturday, CENTCOM said the coordinated strikes were executed at approximately 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time. PulseNets learnt that the operation targeted key ISIS infrastructure spread across several locations within Syrian territory.

According to details obtained by PulseNets, the strikes form part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, a sustained military campaign launched on December 19, 2025, following direct authorization from U.S. President Donald Trump.

CENTCOM explained that the operation was initiated in direct response to a deadly ISIS ambush on December 13, 2025, near Palmyra, Syria, which targeted U.S. and allied Syrian forces.

In its statement, the command said:

“These strikes are part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, which was launched and announced on Dec. 19, 2025, at the direction of President Trump, in direct response to the deadly ISIS attack on U.S. and Syrian forces in Palmyra, Syria, on Dec. 13, 2025.”

CENTCOM further disclosed that the earlier attack was carried out by an ISIS operative and resulted in the loss of American lives.

“That ambush, carried out by an ISIS terrorist, resulted in the tragic deaths of two American soldiers and one U.S. civilian interpreter,” the statement added.

Providing clarity on the scope of the latest military action, the U.S. military command emphasized that the strikes were designed to weaken ISIS’ operational capacity across Syria and prevent future attacks on allied forces.

“The strikes today targeted ISIS throughout Syria as part of our ongoing commitment to root out Islamic terrorism against our warfighters, prevent future attacks, and protect American and partner forces in the region. U.S. and coalition forces remain resolute in pursuing terrorists who seek to harm the United States,” CENTCOM stated.

The command also issued a stern warning to terrorist groups operating against U.S. interests globally.

“Our message remains strong: if you harm our warfighters, we will find you and kill you anywhere in the world, no matter how hard you try to evade justice,” the statement concluded.

Meanwhile, PulseNets reported that the United States had earlier expanded its counterterrorism operations beyond the Middle East. On December 25, 2025, U.S. forces carried out coordinated airstrikes in northwest Nigeria, specifically in Sokoto State, targeting ISIS-linked militants.

Those strikes, executed using Tomahawk missiles, were conducted in collaboration with the Nigerian government and were aimed at dismantling terrorist camps associated with the Islamic State-Sahel Province (ISSP) and its local affiliate, Lakurawa. Security sources told PulseNets that the operation was part of broader efforts to degrade ISIS networks across Africa and prevent the spread of extremist violence in the Sahel region.
