2023: Peter Obi reveals two major ways he’ll tackle insecurity if elected president

‘Sweet dreams’ — Buhari’s aide mocks Peter Obi for insisting he’ll be President

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has revealed two methods his administration would use to tackle insecurity if he is elected as Nigerian President in 2023.

Speaking with BBC Pidgin, the former Anambra State governor stated that the first thing his administration would do is to pull Nigerians out of poverty.

According to him, there would be less criminal activities in the country if poverty is alleviated.

The second, method according him, is to ensure the availability of adequate measures for all security agencies which would help them to discharge their duties properly.

He said, “Our commitment is to deal with insecurity decisively in two ways. The first is to pull people out of poverty. The more you pull people out of poverty, the more you reduce criminality.

“Secondly, to provide adequate measure for security agencies to effectively do their works and we will make sure they do their work”
