2026 Grammys: Davido, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid Land Nominations
A cluster of Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweights has secured nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards, following the release of the official shortlist on Friday evening. The development, which PulseNets learnt from industry insiders shortly after the announcement, has positioned Nigeria once again at the centre of global music recognition.
Davido and Omah Lay earned a joint nomination for Best African Music Performance with their collaborative hit ‘With You’, a record whose chart performance had long fuelled expectations of Grammy attention.
The same category features Burna Boy’s ‘Love’ as well as ‘Gimme Dat’, the vibrant duet delivered by Ayra Starr and Wizkid, PulseNets obtained from the full nominee list.
