2027 Elections: I Have Strong Grassroots Structure to Deliver Rivers for Tinubu — Gov Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that his administration commands formidable grassroots structures and a loyal political base capable of delivering full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, PulseNets learnt.

The governor disclosed that mobilisation efforts in favour of President Tinubu across Rivers State have reached an advanced stage, estimating the process to be about 70 per cent complete, according to information obtained by PulseNets.

Fubara made the assertion while commissioning the 9.7-kilometre Ogbakiri Road project, where he reassured the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of his strong grassroots presence and dependable supporters spread across the state.

Speaking during the event, the governor attributed his confidence to the massive public support and positive reception recorded during project commissioning exercises in different communities within Rivers State.

Calling on residents to remain politically engaged after Wednesday’s interaction with the APC national leadership, Fubara urged citizens to unite and stand firmly behind President Tinubu.

“What we have seen from the people during these project engagements is clear evidence that our grassroots structure is solid and dependable,” the governor said. “Our responsibility now is to sustain this momentum and ensure full support for Mr President.”

Describing the Ogbakiri Road as a landmark achievement of his administration, Fubara explained that the project was initiated during one of the most difficult periods of his tenure as governor.

He recalled that the first tranche of payment for the road construction was released at a time when a court ruling had restrained the Federal Government from disbursing statutory allocations to Rivers State.

“This project began when we were facing serious financial and legal constraints, yet we made a promise to the people,” Fubara stated. “The most important thing is that we delivered this road exactly as we said we would, despite all the challenges.”

The governor further pledged that his administration would evaluate the cost implications of extending internal roads within the area and linking the newly commissioned Ogbakiri Road to Degema through a proposed bridge, PulseNets reported.
