There have been 542 Nigerians removed from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The National Emergency Management Agency welcomed the returns on Sunday (NEMA).
On a Max Air chartered flight, they touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 4:29 a.m.
NEMA spokesperson Manzo Ezekiel said the residents were made up of 79 men, 460 women, and three newborns.
They had a health inspection, had their profiles created by several pertinent organisations, and were approved by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).
Ezekiel revealed that NEMA had given them each a token to help them travel to their destinations.
They were counselled by the director general, Mustapha Ahmed, to draw lessons from their mistakes and support local development.
Atinuke Mohammed, the Nigerian consul general in Dubai, travelled with the returnees.
