62 lawyers have been awarded the coveted title of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, which includes three key EFCC attorneys and nine law professors in total (SANs).
The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), which is presided over by Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), awarded them the position.
According to a statement issued on Thursday night by Hajo Sarki Bello, the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, the LPPC granted the rank to the lawyers at its 154th plenary session on September 29, 2022.
The law professors are Kathleen Ebelechukwu Okafor, Muhammed Taofeeq Abdulrasaq, Amokaye Oludayo Gabriel, Ismail Adeniyi Olatunbosun, Abdullahi Sheu Zuru, Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, Theodore Bala Maiyaki,
Olaide Abass Gbadamosi and Chimezie Kingsley Okorie.
