EPL: Arteta names Arsenal’s “worst enemy” in title race

In the title hunt, fear is Arsenal’s “biggest adversary,” according to manager Mikel Arteta.

On Sunday, the Gunners host Liverpool in the Premier League. If they win, they will have a 14-point lead over the Reds, thereby eliminating them from the title chase.

Excepting penalty shootouts, Arteta’s team has only won twice in 20 matches.

“To win those matches you really need to believe that you can compete against those team.”

“If you don’t have that component then you have fear – and fear is the worst enemy, especially against the top teams because this is what they use a lot of the time just to win football matches.

“You cannot go with any of that into Sunday’s game, the same as we when we played Spurs (in last Saturday’s 3-1 win),” the Spaniard stated.
