Calabar Carnival: 7 killed, 29 wounded — FRSC

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), an event that happened during the Calabar Carnival on Tuesday left 29 people wounded and seven people dead.

The number of victims was verified by Maikano Hassan, the Cross River Sector Commander, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Hassan said that catastrophe struck the Bikers Carnival gathering in front of the Jumat Mosque in Bogobiri, Calabar.

21 male adults, 3 females, 2 male children, and 3 female children are among the injured.

Both the Naval Hospital and the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital were rushed to receive them (UCTH).

The two government hospitals in Calabar, according to the FRSC, have received the deceased’s bodies.

Hassan attested to the Toyota Camry’s loss of control and collision with the onlookers.
