The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has, in a memo, denied reports suggesting it ordered Deposit Money Banks to receive the old N500 and N1000 notes.
The press release, which was signed by Osita Nwanisobi, Director, Corporate Communications, noted the CBN only acted on the directive of the President to reissue the old N200 note and keep it in circulation until April 10th.
