Cristiano Ronaldo makes honest claim about Saudi Pro League
Cristiano Ronaldo, a striker for Al-Nassr, has shared his thoughts on playing in the Saudi Pro League (SPL).
After the 2022 World Cup, Ronaldo joined the Middle Eastern club as a free agent.
The 38-year-old has played in 10 games for his new team Al-Nassr, contributing to two assists and scoring nine goals. He just won the prize for best player of the month of February.
The forward, a former member of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus, and Portugal’s national team, has drawn comparisons between the SPL and the Premier League.
Although he acknowledged that the two leagues are not on the same level, Ronaldo claimed that his time in Saudi Arabia had surprised him.
“Saudi League is not the Premier League, I am not going to lie. But it’s a league that has left me positively surprised.
“It can become a very big league because of how much they want to keep improving,” Ronaldo told reporters in Portugal.
