Igbo youth groups on the platform of Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) have declared their support for Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as the next Senate President of Nigeria.
The groups has unveiled plans to embark on a two-million-man match to make known their decision for Kalu as the consensus candidate for the South-East Region.
In a communique signed by the president general of the Igbo youth group, Goodluck Ibem, Ndubuisi Uche (secretary) and Okey Nwaoru (publicity secretary), the group urged President Bola Tinubu to release the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on health grounds.
According to the coalition, Kanu’s release would help curb youth restiveness in the South-East region.
