Bandits have abducted many travellers on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway on Wednesday, June 12.
According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists opened fire on an 18-seater commercial bus at Bishini area near Katari in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A resident of Katari, Saleh Ibrahim, said the incident around 9pm when the bandits came out from the bush at a sharp bend and opened fire at the bus conveying passengers from Abuja to Kaduna.
Ibrahim disclosed that the terrorists shot and deflated the tyres of the bus which forced the bus to veer off the highway into the bush, before they led all the passengers on board into the forest.
He further said that passengers from two other vehicles were also whisked away by the bandits.
