Tinubu Insists APC’s Promise of Change Has Been Achieved
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has maintained that the change agenda promised to Nigerians by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ten years ago is already being delivered under his administration.
Speaking at a book launch and the commissioning of projects in Imo State on Tuesday, Tinubu stressed that those faulting his government’s efforts are doing so because they “lack a grasp of basic mathematics.”
According to PulseNets reports, the President declared:
“A decade ago, our great party, the APC, entered government with a solemn pledge of change. That change is alive today, and you are seeing it here in Imo State.”
He went further to assert that Nigeria had been on the brink of collapse before the APC stepped in.
“The old system nearly ruined our nation. We broke that chain. Nigeria is no longer in the same condition it was ten years back. We have moved beyond that stage. We made a vow to change things, and I can boldly assure you that the darkest days are behind us.”
Addressing the growing wave of criticism directed at his administration, Tinubu told PulseNets that such voices stem from ignorance.
“Critics can talk from morning till night, but they don’t know any better. Their calculations are always flawed. We understand economic management and progressive governance far more than they do, and that is why we are standing strong today.”
However, many Nigerians who spoke to PulseNets insisted that the ten years of APC rule have not been the bright journey painted by the President. Rather, they believe the period has been marked by economic hardship, inflation, and deepening poverty.

As the debate continues, observers told PulseNets that the key question is whether Nigerians feel the “change” Tinubu celebrates, or whether they are still waiting for the promise to manifest in their daily lives.
