Fubara Sacks His Commissioners Over Supreme Court Judgement

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially relieved all commissioners and public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment of their appointments with immediate effect. PulseNets learnt that the announcement was made during a valedictory session with his cabinet on Wednesday at Government House, Port Harcourt, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

In a statement obtained by PulseNets and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to members of his cabinet for what he described as their “dedication and sacrifices in driving the progress of Rivers State over the last two years.”

The governor, who spoke during the session, noted that the nation’s independence remains a symbol of unity and resilience. According to him,

“Nigerians must rise beyond political divisions and work hand in hand with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to build a peaceful, secure, and prosperous country that guarantees a brighter future for everyone.”
