Senator Ned Nwoko Accuses Regina Daniels’ Siblings of Supplying Illegal Substances, Disrupting Her Rehabilitation

Senator Ned Nwoko of Delta North has levelled serious allegations against some siblings and close associates of his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, accusing them of supplying her with illicit substances and sabotaging her ongoing rehabilitation process, which he said has caused sustained turmoil in his household.

In a lengthy statement posted on X on Saturday, Nwoko shared video clips of confrontations recorded at his residence, stressing that all the incidents occurred in his absence. He maintained that the repeated disruptions were both alarming and destabilising.

“These clips clearly show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming into my home to intimidate my children and domestic workers, especially whenever I travelled. His conduct was consistently aggressive and deeply troubling,” the senator said.

PulseNets learnt that Nwoko outlined several forms of financial support provided to Regina Daniels’ family over the years, insisting that despite his investment in their welfare, they allegedly continued to create chaos around his wife.

“This is someone whose final two years at the University of Ekpoma I funded. I bought his musical equipment, furnished a flat for him in Abuja, and even secured a house in Asaba for Regina before our marriage so the family could use it. I routinely provided allowances to all of them, including her mother, Rita Daniels. In the past two years alone, I have documented transfers totalling ₦125 million to her,” he wrote.

He further alleged that Regina’s behavioural changes were tied to her dependence on illegal substances, and that medical experts had advised strict restrictions on her contact with those considered “enablers.”

“When Regina commenced rehabilitation, the doctors issued a firm directive that certain individuals must not have access to her. Unfortunately, Sammy, Destiny, some siblings, and friends like Sonia Uche Montana disregarded those instructions. They entered the house uninvited—sometimes by force—and delivered the same drugs she was being treated for,” he revealed.

PulseNets obtained that the senator also accused some of Regina’s siblings and friends of using the substances themselves, alleging that they were the first to introduce Regina to the drugs.

“Let it be known that Lawrence, Sammy, his girlfriend NK, Destiny, Sonia, and others took the same drugs. In fact, Lawrence and Sammy were the ones who initially introduced them to her,” he claimed.

Emphasising his own lifestyle, he described himself as a strict vegetarian who neither drinks alcohol nor smokes, adding that he found their conduct “repulsive and wholly unacceptable.”

Recounting a specific confrontation, Nwoko narrated how Sammy once stormed his home shortly after he (Nwoko) asked Sammy’s girlfriend to leave the premises.

“Within half an hour, Sammy rushed to the house, shouting that I should come downstairs to face him. He claimed I had no authority to ask his girlfriend to leave my home. He threatened the staff, woke the children, and created unnecessary panic,” he recounted.

He said the confrontations often extended to police officers posted at his residence, who were allegedly insulted and threatened by Regina’s siblings for enforcing security restrictions.

According to him, Regina’s behaviour also deteriorated during this period.

“Whenever Regina attempted to leave the house while I was away, she became hostile to the police and domestic staff. She would yell, threaten them, and use degrading language,” he said.

He recalled a night when Regina stayed out until morning and dismissed any accountability.

“She told me, ‘You are not my father, so don’t question me about where I’ve been,’” he said.

Addressing viral videos alleging he authorised violence against Regina, Nwoko insisted the claims were manufactured.

“The allegation that I sent thugs to beat Regina in another house is completely false. That video was recorded in front of my home by her sister and a friend. It was staged—a movie-like setup—filmed while I was away,” he explained.

He further alleged that valuables were taken from his home during the altercation.

“They left with several items, including one of my phones, cash, and other belongings,” he claimed.

Calling on Sammy to build independence, the senator revealed he previously sponsored Regina’s brother Lawrence to study in London with $70,000 and had offered Sammy the same opportunity.

“He rejected the offer,” Nwoko added, noting that Sammy had been arrested multiple times by both the police and the EFCC.

“What he needs now is full rehabilitation and professional guidance. Without that, his aggression and self-destructive habits will only intensify,” he said.

Nwoko summed up the ordeal as a painful effort to support his wife through recovery.

“This is the distressing reality of a husband trying to help his wife heal, only to watch her own siblings and friends sabotage the rehabilitation process—people who should have been standing by her,” he concluded.
