Wizkid Blasts Burna Boy Over Alleged Assault on DJ Tunez in Lagos Club

Famous Afrobeats star, Wizkid, has lashed out at fellow music heavyweight Burna Boy over an alleged attack involving his official DJ.

Reports indicate that DJ Tunez, widely known as Wizkid’s official disc jockey, was reportedly beaten at a Lagos nightclub on Monday night after allegedly refusing to play Burna Boy’s songs. The development has stirred reactions across Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

PulseNets learnt that following the incident, the Nigerian DJ Association moved swiftly to ban Burna Boy’s music from playlists nationwide, signaling a strong stance against the reported assault.

In what appeared to escalate tensions further, Burna Boy was later seen in a viral towel dance video circulating on social media, seemingly mocking DJ Tunez.

Wizkid, reacting angrily, publicly criticized Burna Boy for confronting DJ Tunez alongside a large entourage. In a strongly worded post shared on X, the singer did not hold back.

PulseNets reported that the comment also referenced ongoing controversies surrounding Burna Boy’s alleged association with Diddy.
