Adewole Adebayo Predicts Atiku, Obi Will Lose Election Petition

Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, has predicted that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi will lose their election petition.

Adebayo made the prediction in a tweet on Tuesday, after Atiku and Obi closed their case at the Election Petition Tribunal.

“As @atiku @OfficialPDPNig @PeterObi @NgLabour closed at Election Tribunal, it is fair to say that they have added new points to our jurisprudence but nothing to the course of justice: (a) non-issues (b)no evidence and (c) sure to lose even with a weak or no defence by @inecnigeria,” Adebayo tweeted.

Adebayo also called on the Nigerian political class to reach a solid consensus that the electorate of Nigeria deserves a clean, clear, and credible election devoid of trauma and angst.

“Does the inevitable dismissal of these petitions mean the end of the duty incumbent on the Nigerian political class to reach a solid consensus that the electorate of Nigeria deserves a clean, clear and credible election devoid of trauma and angst? I don’t think so. We must meet,” he said.

Adebayo’s prediction is based on the fact that Atiku and Obi have not presented any evidence to support their claims of election fraud. The PDP and LP have alleged that there were widespread irregularities in the election, but they have not been able to provide any proof to support these allegations.

The Election Petition Tribunal is expected to deliver its ruling on the case in the coming weeks. However, it is clear that Atiku and Obi face an uphill battle.
