Cholera Outbreak: AITEO Donates Medical Supplies to Nembe LGA
Nembe — In a significant gesture of corporate responsibility, AITEO, a leading oil company in the Niger Delta region, has donated medical consumables to the Nembe Local Government Area (LGA) as part of efforts to combat a recent cholera outbreak.
The Chairman of Nembe LGA, Hon. David Alagoa, alongside the Alternative Chairman of the Nembe Council of Chiefs, Hon. Bright Erewari, formally received the supplies during a brief handover ceremony held in the region. The items were presented by Mr. Ebi, the Community Liaison Officer (CLO) for AITEO, who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting host communities during critical times.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Alagoa expressed profound gratitude to AITEO, commending the company for being the first oil firm operating in the region to respond to the health crisis. He noted that their timely intervention would go a long way in alleviating the burden on local healthcare facilities and residents affected by the outbreak.

“This donation shows AITEO’s commitment to the well-being of our people, and we are hopeful this partnership will extend to other critical areas of development in the region,” Hon. Alagoa remarked.
