Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger has reportedly agreed personal term to join Real Madrid this summer, after he informed the English club he won’t sign a new contract, PulseNets reports.
Rudiger current deal with the club expires in the summer of 2022 and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks.
Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano who made the disclosure in a statement on Monday morning, confirmed that, Real Madrid have reached verbal agreement with Rüdiger, contract not signed yet but, the Spanish giants are now closing on Rüdiger deal on a free.
He added that, It’s gonna be a long-term deal. Final details to be discussed soon, before signing the contract.
It’s said that ‘all the terms of the contract have been agreed’ and that Chelsea are already preparing for life without the Garman international.
Also, Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel yesterday, confirmed that Rudiger will be leaving the club at the end of his contract this summer.
The Germany international has been a star player for the Blues in recent times, particularly since Tuchel took over as manager.
One imagines Tuchel’s success in the Champions League last season wouldn’t have been possible without the world class displays of Rudiger in some of those big game victories, particularly the final against Manchester City.
