APC Launches Lagos Grassroots Mobilisation to Boost Voter Registration Under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Coalition Committee has unveiled a massive grassroots mobilisation campaign targeted at boosting voter registration and participation across Lagos State.
The event, held at the Police College Grounds in Ikeja, attracted thousands of supporters, community leaders, youth groups, and volunteers who converged for what organisers described as a “renewed mission to bring governance closer to the people.”
James Faleke, the committee’s coordinator in Lagos and a member of the House of Representatives representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency, told PulseNets that the mobilisation effort was designed to strengthen civic participation through door-to-door sensitisation.
“We’re here to officially inaugurate our street captains who will go into every neighbourhood, knock on doors, and encourage residents to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). That’s the core of this movement,” Faleke explained.
He reported that over 40,000 street captains had been inaugurated across the state, each tasked with convincing at least five new people to register before the next election cycle.
“Go to every home, visit every street, and remind people that without a PVC, they have no voice in shaping Nigeria’s future,” he urged the crowd, receiving a loud cheer in response.
Kolade Alabi, Chairman of the Planning Committee, spoke to PulseNets about the broader objective behind the initiative, noting that it aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the APC’s vision for a more connected, people-driven democracy.
“This mobilisation reflects our shared belief that progress starts from the grassroots,” Alabi said. “Under President Tinubu’s visionary leadership, the APC continues to redefine governance, strengthen institutions, and empower local councils to act independently. That is the real essence of democracy.”
He further highlighted key areas of progress under the administration, including infrastructure development, digital innovation, agricultural expansion, and social welfare reforms.
According to materials obtained by PulseNets, the event drew notable political figures from Lagos who sent goodwill messages in support of the initiative. The newly inaugurated street captains were urged to serve as ambassadors of democratic values within their respective communities.

In a show of enthusiasm, the captains told PulseNets they were ready to hit the ground running — moving from street to street and home to home — ensuring that every eligible Lagos resident registers to vote.
“We’re taking this mission personally,” one captain said. “Every voice must count in the next election.”
