Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been advised to be diligent at work and exercise patience in climbing the ladder of success.
NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed gave the advice in his address to the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream Two NYSC members at the Nasarawa State Orientation Camp in Magaji Dan Yamusa, Keffi.
He urged the NYSC members to avoid the get-rich-quick syndrome and other social vices that may have negative effects on their future.
Ahmed also urged the corps members to serve their fatherland as good ambassadors of their families, academic institutions and the NYSC.
“Be of good character throughout your service year and if it becomes very necessary for you to travel, make sure you obtain permission from the NYSC.
“Try to respect other people’s opinions and make good friends while in camp. Also, respect the cultural beliefs of your host communities when you pass out from the camp,” the DG said.
