Bayelsa State’s commitment to environmental resilience received a boost as Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo, the Commissioner for Environment, announced a reinforced partnership with federal authorities.
After a recent meeting with the Honourable Minister of Environment, Mallam Balarabe Abbas Lawal, the commissioner shared updates on a joint agenda focused on advancing Bayelsa’s key environmental goals.
This collaboration aims to address critical areas like climate resilience, coastal erosion control, and biodiversity protection, with Commissioner Ololo emphasizing the Minister’s pledge to actively back Bayelsa’s initiatives.
PulseNets also learnt that Commissioner Ben Ololo extended a formal invitation to the Minister to participate in Bayelsa’s side event at the forthcoming COP29 summit in Azerbaijan.
At this global gathering, Bayelsa will showcase its advancements in the blue economy, climate adaptation, and sustainable development. The Minister accepted the invitation, demonstrating his support for a unified approach to environmental resilience in both Bayelsa and Nigeria.
